If you’re like me you might be thinking that the Easter break would be a great chance to get out of town and do something interesting. Here’s a few places to look for ideas:
- The Pineapple Post archives under travel. Pineapple Post Having been brushing up on the past posts it has made me even more aware of what a great resource Jackie has accumulated here for all of us. There are lots of ideas, reviews and information, from resorts to basic village stays, for family travel or singles.
- Charis Travels Facebook site: Chairs travel Facebook a locally owned and run travel agency that does both internal and external trips.
- The unaccompanied adult blog: Unaccompanied adult is a delightful and entertaining blog about Honiara and surrounds.
If you’re staying in town and your idea of fun is running the Rotary Fun Run is on again on Easter Monday. They expect about 5000 participants so obviously a good chance to meet lots of people and run away from them and in the process support local charity.
Register at firstname.lastname@example.org or DJ Grahics outlets. See attached flyer for further details
Proceeds from this year’s fun run by corporate sponsors and individual run participants will go to the Rotary Club of Honiara who is involved in several ongoing projects throughout the Solomon Islands.
